Everyday Care

To help protect your jewelry:

  • Avoid prolonged contact with water, perfumes, lotions, hairspray, household cleaners, and harsh chemicals.
  • Remove jewelry before swimming, bathing, exercising, or sleeping.
  • Put jewelry on after applying skincare, fragrance, and cosmetics.
  • Handle personalized pieces, stone settings, and delicate chains with care.

925 Sterling Silver + Anti-Tarnish Treatment

Lioren Jewels uses 925 sterling silver as its core metal.

Our sterling silver pieces are finished with an anti-tarnish treatment designed to help slow oxidation and preserve the silver’s natural luster.

Sterling silver can still develop tarnish over time depending on wear, storage, humidity, and exposure to chemicals.

To care for your sterling silver:

  • Gently wipe the piece with a soft, dry microfiber cloth after wear.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, silver dips, and harsh polishing products.
  • Store jewelry clean, dry, and protected when not in use.

14k Solid Gold Accents

Select mixed-metal designs may feature solid 14k yellow or rose gold accents.

Solid gold does not tarnish in the same way as sterling silver, but it can collect residue and develop fine surface scratches with regular wear.

To care for solid gold accents:

  • Wipe gently with a soft, clean cloth.
  • Avoid abrasive products and harsh chemicals.
  • Store separately when possible to reduce scratching.

Gemstones

Lioren Jewels may feature natural or lab-grown gemstones depending on the design.

To help protect your stones and settings:

  • Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning products.
  • Do not soak gemstone jewelry for extended periods.
  • Avoid ultrasonic cleaners unless specifically recommended for your piece.
  • Store gemstone pieces separately to help prevent scratching and impact damage.

Storage

When not being worn, store your jewelry in its Lioren Jewels microfiber pouch or another clean, dry jewelry container.

For best results:

  • Keep pieces separated to reduce scratching and tangling.
  • Store jewelry away from excessive moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.
  • Make sure jewelry is completely dry before storing.

Natural Wear

Fine jewelry can develop subtle signs of wear over time.

Small surface scratches, changes in polish, and gradual tarnishing of sterling silver are normal and do not indicate a defect.

Previously Released Finishes

Some existing Lioren Jewels pieces may feature rhodium plating or 18k gold vermeil.

For plated pieces:

  • Avoid abrasive polishing products and excessive rubbing.
  • Keep away from water, perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals.
  • Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Store separately when not in use to help protect the plated finish.

Plated finishes can gradually wear over time with regular use. This is a normal characteristic of plated jewelry.
