How We Price Our Jewelry
Honesty in Every Detail
At Lioren Jewels, we believe you should understand what goes into the jewelry you purchase.
Our pricing reflects more than the materials in a finished piece. It also accounts for original design development, specialized craftsmanship, small-batch production, personalization, finishing, packaging, and the work required to bring each design from an idea to something you can wear.
We believe in being thoughtful about both what we create and what we ask you to pay for it.
What Goes Into a Lioren Piece
1. Original Design
Every Lioren piece begins with an idea and a story.
Many of our designs are created exclusively for Lioren and require sketch development, CAD design, prototypes, custom components, and multiple rounds of refinement before the final piece is ready.
Meaning and personalization are considered from the beginning—not added as an afterthought.
2. Quality Materials
925 sterling silver is our core metal and is finished with an anti-tarnish treatment designed to help preserve its natural luster and reduce tarnishing over time.
Select mixed-metal designs may feature solid 14k yellow or rose gold accents.
Depending on the design, pieces may also include natural or lab-grown gemstones. The specific materials used are listed on each product page.
3. Specialized Craftsmanship
Different designs require different types of craftsmanship.
Our custom components may be cast, polished, engraved, stone-set, or otherwise finished by specialized jewelry manufacturers and craftspeople. Select pieces are also assembled, personalized, welded, and finished in the Lioren studio.
This approach allows us to use the right process for each design while maintaining the details that make the piece distinctly Lioren.
4. Thoughtful Production
Lioren is intentionally produced on a smaller scale.
Rather than carrying large quantities of every possible design and variation, we use a combination of small-batch production, ready-to-ship pieces, and made-to-order jewelry.
This allows us to offer personalization and original designs while being more intentional about the amount of inventory we produce and hold.
5. Thoughtful Packaging
Every Lioren piece is prepared with care and arrives with protective storage and jewelry-care materials.
Depending on the collection, your order may also include cards that share more about the meaning or story behind the piece.
The goal is simple: your jewelry should feel considered from the design itself through the moment you open it.
How We Think About Pricing
We do not price a piece based only on the cost of silver, chain, or stones.
The final price may also reflect:
- Original design and CAD development
- Custom casting and component production
- Stone sourcing and professional stone setting
- Engraving, personalization, assembly, and finishing
- Small-batch manufacturing costs
- Packaging and quality control
- The operating costs required to responsibly run an independent jewelry brand
Our goal is to price each piece in a way that reflects what actually goes into creating it while remaining mindful of value for the customer.
As our materials, production methods, or costs change, pricing may occasionally change as well.
What You Won’t Find at Lioren
- Vague or unidentified “mystery” metals
- Gold vermeil presented as solid gold
- Materials described as something they are not
- Large production runs simply for the sake of carrying more inventory
- Personalization treated as an afterthought
We would rather clearly tell you what a piece is made from, how it is produced, and what makes it special.
